Mike Parker

Mike has been in the bicycle trade for nearly 15 years and has worked at Bike it and Carb Cycles in Barnstaple, North Devon.

From learning his trade as a vehicle mechanic in the REME to then adapting his skills when he left in 2005 to repair bicycles. Mike also gained the Cytech qualification at levels 2 and 3, as well as, advanced wheel building skills, Shimana step and di2 electrical fault finding and repairs.

Bicycles have become more complex so its very important to have the knowledge and expertise to maintain and fix your bikes, something that Mike is well versed in. From hydraulic breaks, electric gears, suspension and EBikes. Even with all these improvements, bikes still need a certain level of servicing to them, which Mike can provide to a high standard.

Mike also enjoys riding his bikes, in particular on his Genesis Longitude adventure mountain bike and his Genesis Fugio 650b gravel bike. As both are bomb proof and ready for anything as they allow you to enjoy biking at any level without complicating things – anyway that’s a story for another time!

Mike is always ready to meet everyone and help you with your trusted steed with advice and hands on maintenance skills with his 15 years of experience.
